Directions

For the cookie
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
2. Lightly grease an oven proof skillet or iron cast skillet, with a 14 to 18 cm diameter approximately.
3. Cream the butter along the sugar in a stand mixer with a flat beater until it turns a pale color and has a fluffy texture.
4. Scrape the edges, add the egg yolk and vanilla, incorporate.
5. Lower the mixer speed, add the flour and salt. Beat until you get a dough. Stir in the chocolate chips and incorporate with a folding motion.
6. Distribute the dough over the skillet with the help of a spatula or a wooden spoon, cover the skillet completely.
7. Bake the cookie for 20-35 minutes until it rises, takes color and the edges brown lightly.
8. Remove from the oven and let the skillet cool on a cooling rack.
For the caramelized bananas
1. Place the halved bananas in a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle them with brown sugar, vanilla seeds and ground cinnamon; toss lightly to coat them completely.
2. Bake the bananas at the same time as the cookie until they are caramelized. They should take almost the same time to bake.
To serve
1. Place the caramelized bananas on top of the cookie and assemble a banana split with the ice cream, whipped cream, caramel, chocolate and walnuts.
