Preheat the Oven
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Line a square baking dish with parchment paper.
Prepare the Apples
1. Wash and pat dry the apples.
2. Cut them into quarters around the core, and then slice the quarters into thin, even slices.
Coat with Butter
1. Arrange the apple slices in the prepared baking dish.
2. Pour the melted butter over the apple slices.
3. Using your hands or a spatula, gently toss the apples, ensuring they are evenly coated with butter.
Cinnamon Magic
1. Sprinkle half of the ground cinnamon over the apple slices.
2. The natural sweetness of the apples eliminates the need for added sugar.
Bake and Flip
1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes.
2. After the first 10 minutes, carefully flip the apple slices to ensure even baking.
3. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon over the flipped slices.
Finish Baking
1. Continue baking for an additional 10 minutes or until the apple slices are tender and lightly golden.
2. Keep an eye on them to prevent overcooking.
