- 1.75 lb wintermelon
- 15 large shrimps
- 2 tbsp Fish sauce
- 1.5 tbsp chicken powder
- 0.5 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 0.667 tsp MSG
- 1 bundle Green onions, sliced into 1" pieces

1. Combine your minced shrimp, 1 tbsp fish sauce, 1/2 tbsp chicken powder,1/2 black pepper, 1/2 tsp sugar, and 1/2 tsp MSG. Set aside.
2. In a 3 qt pot, fill it 1/2 way with water and bring to boil.
3. Once the water boils, slowly add your minced shrimp mixture using a spoon to form small shrimp balls.
4. After 2-3 minutes, the shrimp will cook. Skim off the foam at the top of the broth and remove.
5. Add your cubed wintermelon into the broth and allow to cook for 15 minutes.
6. Taste and season the broth with an additional 1 tbsp fish sauce, 1 tbsp chicken powder, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/3 tsp MSG.
7. Garnish with green onions.
8. Serve hot with a side of rice.
