Ingredients

Chicken Cordon Bleu
- 2 pcs Chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 c Flour, for coating
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- 1 c Breadcrumbs, for coating
- 300 ml Oil, for deep frying
Serving
- 250 g mashed potatoes
- 20 g Fresh chives
- 2 tbsp Béchamel sauce

Directions

Prepare Chicken
1. Lay out the chicken breasts and pound them until thin.
2. Spread Dijon mustard on each flattened chicken breast.
3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Assemble Rolls
1. Place 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast.
2. Roll up the chicken breast tightly, ensuring the ham and cheese are enclosed.
3. Secure the rolls with toothpicks if needed.
4. Freeze the rolled chicken for 1 hour to firm it up.
Breading
1. Set up a breading station with three separate bowls containing flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
2. Roll each frozen chicken roll in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat evenly with breadcrumbs.
Deep-Fry
1. Heat oil to 160°C (320°F) in a deep fryer or a large, deep pan.
2. Carefully place the breaded chicken rolls into the hot oil.
3. Deep-fry for about 10 minutes or until the exterior is golden brown and the chicken is cooked through.
Serve
1. Remove toothpicks before serving.
2. Serve the Chicken Cordon Bleu with mashed potatoes.
3. Garnish with fresh chives.
4. Drizzle with béchamel sauce for an extra touch of creaminess.
