- 1 stick Butter, frozen
- 2.5 cups self-rising flour
- 1 cup Buttermilk, cold
- 2 tablespoons Butter, melted for later use

1. Preheat the oven for 475 degrees. You will be baking the biscuits on middle zone.
2. Grate frozen butter with the help of a grater box (using large holes).
3. In a mixing bowl gently mix together grated butter and flour.
4. Chill for 10 minutes.
Mixing the Dough
1. Now add in the buttermilk and mix (don’t under or over mix).
2. With a wooden spoon, mix it 12-14 times. Don’t use your hands to mix or the butter will melt and it won’t let the biscuits rise.
Rolling and Cutting the Dough
1. Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface.
2. Lightly sprinkle flour over top of dough.
3. Using a lightly floured rolling pin, roll the dough.
4. Fold dough in half. Repeat the process 4 more times.
5. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
6. Cut with a 2 1/2-inch floured round cutter.
Baking the Biscuits
1. Place it on parchment paper lined baking sheet.
2. Bake it for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
3. Finally brush it with melted butter.
