Ingredients

For the Bourbon Sauce
- 0.5 cup Bourbon
- 0.5 tsp Apple cider vinegar
- 0.25 cup Brown sugar
For the Chicken and Shrimp
- 2 Chicken breast, cut in halves
- 1 lb Jumbo shrimp, cleaned and deveined
- 2 tsp Kosher salt
- 2 tsp Black pepper
- 2 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp Garlic powder
- 2 tsp Onion powder
- 2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 4 Tbs Canola oil, for cooking

Directions

For the Bourbon Sauce
1. Bring a saucepan to medium heat.
2. Add brown sugar to the pan and the bourbon. Stir until dissolved.
3. Once the sugar is dissolved and the alcohol is cooked out, add apple cider vinegar.
4. Let simmer for about five minutes.
For the chicken
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2. Bring a skillet or cast iron to medium heat.
3. Season cleaned chicken with 1/2 of the seasonings mentioned.
4. Add 2 tbsp of canola oil to the pan.
5. Once the pan gets hot, add chicken breasts to the pan.
6. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side on both sides.
7. Place chicken in the oven and finish for 10-15 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
For the shrimp
1. Bring a skillet or cast iron to medium heat.
2. Season shrimp with remaining seasonings.
3. Add remaining oil to the pan.
4. Cook shrimp on both sides 2-3 minutes per side.
5. Remove from the pan.
To serve
1. Add Bourbon Sauce to the chicken and shrimp.
2. Can be served with rice or potatoes.
3. Serve and enjoy!
