Ingredients

Cheesesteak Sandwich
- 8 oz ribeye roll
- 0.5 medium onion
- 0.5 tbsp Soy sauce
- 0.5 tbsp calamansi or lemon juice
- 0.5 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 3 slices American cheese
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 hoagie/hero roll

Directions

Preparation of Ingredients
1. Slice ribeye and onions thin.
Creating the Sauce
1. Combine soy sauce, calamansi juice and oyster sauce in a bowl and mix together thoroughly.
Toasting the Roll
1. In a pan, toast the roll with some butter, then set aside.
Cooking the Onions and Steak
1. Add a little more butter to the pan if needed, and cook the onions until slightly translucent.
2. Push the onions to one side of the pan.
3. Add steak to the pan and season with some pepper.
4. Once the steak starts to get some color, mix the onions in.
5. Add soy sauce mixture and cook till steak absorbs the sauce.
Assembling the Sandwich
1. Place the roll on top of parchment.
2. Add 2 slices of American cheese to the middle of the roll.
3. Place steak over the cheese.
4. Cut the last slice of cheese in half and place on top of steak.
5. Roll the parchment around the sandwich and let sit for 2 minutes.
Final Step
1. This step helps the cheese melt, and warm the sandwich.
2. Once the 2 minutes is up, unroll the parchment and enjoy your sandwich.
