Waffle Batter
- 1 c Power Cakes Mix
- 1 c Milk
- 1 Large egg
- 2 tbsp Unsalted butter, melted
- 0.5 tsp Vanilla extract, pure
- non-stick cooking spray
- 1 c Strawberries, fresh, chopped
- 0.25 c Maple syrup, real
- 1 c Yogurt, vanilla or strawberry
- sliced almonds
- other favorite toppings

Preparation of Waffle Batter
1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
2. In a large bowl, combine the Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Mix, milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
3. Stir until the mixture is well incorporated and smooth.
4. Allow the batter to sit for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
Using the Waffle Iron
1. Lightly spray the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Pour enough batter into the center of the iron to cover the bottom plate (amount will depend on your waffle iron).
3. Close the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually for about 3-5 minutes, or until the waffle is golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside.
4. Remove the waffle from the iron and place it on a cooling rack or a warm plate.
5. Repeat with the remaining batter.
Preparing the Strawberries
1. For the strawberries, add the strawberry chunks into a bowl.
2. Add the maple syrup and warm up in the microwave or stovetop for 1 minute.
Serving the Waffles
1. Serve your Kodiak Cakes waffles warm, topped with the strawberries, yogurt and sliced almonds, or use your favorite toppings such as fresh fruits, maple syrup, or whipped cream.
