- 0.5 lb Ground pork
- 0.25 lb Shrimp, minced (optional)
- Black pepper, ground
- 0.5 lb soft tofu, cut into 1” cubes
- 6 oz Chives, cut into 2” strips
- 1.5 tbsp Fish sauce
- 1.5 tbsp chicken powder
- 0.75 tbsp Sugar
- 0.5 tbsp MSG

Directions

Preparing the Meat Mixture
1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 lb ground pork, 1/4 lb minced shrimp, 1/2 tbsp fish sauce, 1/4 tbsp sugar, 1/4 tbsp MSG, and ground black pepper.
2. Combine and set aside.
Preparing the Soup
1. Bring a pot with 6 cups of water to boil over high heat.
2. Once boiling, add spoonfuls of your meat mixture to form meatballs.
3. Allow to cook for 5 minutes.
Adding Tofu and Chives
1. Add your cubes tofu into the soup.
2. Gently stir to combine without breaking the tofu.
3. Allow to cook for 3 minutes.
4. Add the sliced chives and combine.
5. Cook for 2 minutes.
Seasoning and Serving
1. Season the soup with 1 tbsp fish sauce, 1 tbsp chicken powder, 1/2 tbsp sugar, and 1/4 tbsp MSG.
2. Taste and adjust to your preference.
3. Add ground black pepper before serving.
4. Serve with a side of rice.
5. Enjoy!
