- 0.5 tofu, firm
- 0.5 Lemon
- 4 clove Garlic
- 1 Ginger
- 1 Red onion
- 0.5 Jalapeño, seeded
- 2 Thai chilis
- 4 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp mayo
- 1 Egg
- Cornstarch
- frying oil

Pressing and Prepping Tofu
1. Press tofu to drain excess water. Wrap it in a paper towel and put a heavy plate on top while prepping other ingredients.
2. Chop up garlic, onion, ginger, jalapeño, Thai chili, and green onion.
3. Cut tofu in half then into cubes.
Preparing Tofu for Frying
1. In a bowl, add cornstarch and tofu pieces.
2. Beat 1 egg and add about half of the egg mixture into the bowl of cornstarch and tofu. Mix well. Add more egg batter if needed.
Frying Tofu
1. In a pot, add lots of neutral oil. Get it nice and hot.
2. Fry your tofu in batches for about 2-3 minutes for the first batch. Then turn your heat up just a little for the second batch. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Preparing Sauce and Final Mixing
1. In a saucepan, add some oil and sauté the ginger, garlic, red onion, and Thai chili.
2. Next, add soy sauce and mayo. Cook that down so the mayo can mix in with the sauce.
3. Add tofu, turn the heat off, and mix together.
4. Then add lemon juice, more red onion, jalapeño, and green onion (optional).
