- 3 lb chuck roast
- dry seasonings
- 0.5 c beef broth
- 3 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 Lime, juiced
Dry Seasonings
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Paprika

Mixing the dry seasonings
1. Mix your dry seasonings in a bowl.
Preparing the chuck roast
1. Place your chuck roast in your crockpot.
2. Season with dry seasonings on both sides.
Preparing the broth
1. Mix together your beef broth and tomato paste.
2. Juice your lime.
3. Add your beef broth mixture to your crockpot then add in lime juice.
Cooking the roast
1. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours. It is recommended to cook on low because the meat gets more tender that way.
Shredding the roast
1. After it’s done, remove and shred with a fork and take out any extra fat pieces.
Serving the dish
1. I served mine on a corn tortilla with cheese!
