- 3 lbs beef steak
- 0.25 c White vinegar, can replace with red vinegar
- Adobo
- Sazón
- Black pepper, seasoning
- Oregano, seasoning
- Cumin, seasoning
- 3 tbsp Olive oil, or any other desired oil
- 1 tsp sofrito
- 2 tbsp Green olives, pitted stuffed
- 2 Yellow onions, cut in slices (add green peppers as well, if desired)
- 1 can Tomato sauce

1. Marinate the meat with vinegar and all the seasonings. You can do this the day before or a few hours before cooking.
2. For better flavor, you can also marinate the onions in vinegar for at least an hour before preparation.
3. On low heat, add the oil to the pan.
4. Add the sofrito, olives, and cook for a few seconds.
5. Mix in the meat and place the onions on top.
6. Add the tomato sauce.
7. Cover and cook until meat is well done and tender.
8. To avoid burning or sticking, add a bit of water.
9. Serve with tostones or mofongo, or rice and beans, a salad and a slice of avocado for a hearty well balanced meal.
