Wet Ingredients
- 2 sticks Butter, cooked until golden brown
- 0.75 c light brown sugar
- 0.75 c Granulated sugar
- 1 Large egg
- 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
- 2 c all-purpose flour
- 0.75 tsp Salt
- 0.75 tsp Baking soda
- 1.5 c Chocolate chips
Caramel Surprise
- Ghirardelli Sea Salt Caramel Dark Chocolate

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. 375 degrees if you want your cookies to be crunchy.
2. Let your brown butter cool down for 10 minutes before adding in the rest of the ingredients.
3. Mix them well.
4. Then add all the dry ingredients into the flour.
5. Make sure everything is well combined before dumping it in the wet ingredients.
6. Don't over mix.
7. Take an ice cream scooper and scoop out the dough to your desired size.
8. Then gently flatten it on the baking sheet before placing on the chocolate piece.
Baking and Serving
1. Place it in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
2. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes after it comes out of the oven or you will have a burnt mouth (speaking from experience)!
3. And don't forget to drink it with a glass of cold milk to cleanse the palate!
