Ingredients

Spaghetti
- 4 oz Spaghetti
- 3 bacon slices
- 0.5 Yellow onion, diced
- 1 Egg yolk
- 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 0.75 cup Heavy cream
- 1 pinch Garlic salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper
- 2 tbsp dried parsley flakes

Directions

Preparation
1. In a small bowl, thoroughly mix the egg yolk and freshly grated parmesan cheese until well combined.
2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and cook the pasta according to the directions on the package until al dente.
While the Pasta is Cooking
1. Heat up a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon and lower the heat to medium-low and cook until it becomes crispy on each side and renders its fat.
2. Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes. Stir occasionally.
3. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 seconds.
Combine and Season
1. Add in the cooked pasta and the egg yolk mixture to the skillet.
2. Stir until everything is well combined and the pasta is thoroughly coated in the creamy sauce. Add pasta water if needed to achieve desired sauce consistency.
3. Season the pasta with a pinch of garlic salt, a pinch of ground black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of dried parsley flakes.
Plate and Serve
1. Plate the pasta and garnish it with additional dried parsley flakes and a generous amount of freshly grated parmesan cheese on top.
2. Serve & enjoy.
