Green Beans
- 3 tbs Butter
- 1 tbs Olive oil
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 1 lb Green beans, trimmed
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste

1. Melt butter and olive oil in a pan on medium high heat.
2. Add in chopped onions and cook on medium heat until the onions become a golden brown color.
3. Stir frequently so the onions don’t burn.
4. Add in the green beans and stir to combine the onions/oil over the beans.
5. Stir to coat the green beans with the onions and butter and let them rest in the pan for a minute before covering with a lid to steam.
6. Keep them covered for about 2 minutes and then remove the lid.
7. If you like softer beans, keep it covered a little longer, make sure to try them as you go for doneness.
8. When the beans are cooked to your preference, remove the lid and raise the heat to high.
9. We want to blister the beans a bit, so cook for 2-3 minutes and avoid stirring.
10. Give the beans a toss, and let them cook for another 2-3 minutes.
11. Remove the beans from heat and serve!
