Directions

Preparation
1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
2. Line your baking pan with parchment paper.
3. Set it aside.
Preparing the Wet Ingredients
1. You will need two mixing bowls. One for wet ingredients and the other for dry.
2. In the first bowl add butter and melt it in the microwave for 60 seconds.
3. Then add the cane sugar.
4. Mix it until sugar is mostly dissolved.
5. One by one, add in the eggs and mix it well.
6. Next, add in the vanilla extract.
7. Mix and set it aside.
Preparing the Dry Ingredients
1. Time to assemble the dry ingredients.
2. Add flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa powder.
3. Whisk it until well combined.
4. Then chop up 4oz of semisweet chocolate and add it to the cocoa flour.
5. This will ensure the chocolate does not sink to the bottom of the pan thanks to the flour coating.
Combining and Baking
1. Now add the wet ingredients to dry. Don’t over mix.
2. Scoop it into the lined pan and place it in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
3. Let it cool down for 10 minutes before taking it out of the pan.
Serving
1. Slice it into bars and dust it with powdered sugar once they are room temperature. Enjoy!
