Copycat McDonalds Apple Pies Recipe (with Video)

Preparation
1. Pre-heat oven to 400.
Making the Filling
1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add butter, apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
2. Bring to a simmer for 15 minutes then remove from heat.
Preparing the Pastry
1. Slice your puff pastry into multiple rectangles (you can really pick how skinny or wide you want to make them).
2. Lay apple pie filling in the center of the rectangles and then place another puff pastry rectangle on top and use a fork to seal the edges.
Baking
1. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top.
2. You can use a knife to make slices on top for a McDonald's apple pie look.
3. Bake in the oven until golden brown, 15-20 minutes.
4. Serve while still warm and enjoy.
