Directions

Preparing the Dough
1. In a large bowl, add your flour, salt, granulated and brown sugar. Mix until well combined.
2. In a separate dish, add your warm water and yeast. Mix thoroughly and let sit for five minutes.
3. Add in the vanilla extract and yeast water and mix by hand or with a stand mixer until you get a smooth ball of dough.
4. Add in the flour and salt and knead until smooth (you can use your hands, or you can use a stand mixer with a dough hook for this part).
5. Grease a clean bowl with nonstick cooking spray and place the dough into the bowl. Cover with a warm towel for an hour.
Shaping and Boiling the Pretzels
1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
2. Divide the dough into 8 equal parts.
3. Roll the dough out into a cylinder with the middle being slightly more plump than the sides.
4. Form your dough into the shape of pretzels.
5. Add the water to boil, then your baking soda.
6. Dip the pretzels in for 30-45 seconds then let rest for 10 minutes.
Baking and Finishing the Pretzels
1. Sprinkle with kosher salt and bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
2. In a separate bowl, add your butter and melt it completely.
3. In a second bowl, add the cinnamon and sugar.
4. Dip your pretzels into the butter once cooked, then the cinnamon sugar mixture.
5. Serve immediately!
