- 2 cup All purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 Egg, at Room Temperature
- 1 Egg yolk, at Room Temperature
- 0.75 cup Granulated white sugar
- 0.5 tsp Kosher salt
- 1 cup Light brown sugar
- 1 cup Unsalted butter, melted & cooled to room temperature
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 0.5 cup M&M’s
- 0.5 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks

1. In a large mixing bowl, add melted butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Whisk ingredients well until sugar and butter are fully combined.
2. Next, add in 1 whole large egg, 1 egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Whisk ingredients well until fully combined and smooth.
3. In a separate bowl, sift and add in flour, then add baking soda and salt.
4. Combine the flour mixture with the first bowl mixture and use a wooden or silicone spatula.
5. Add in M&Ms & chocolate chunks and mix in well. Refrigerate dough for about 1 hour. Dough Should be firm before baking, refrigerate the dough longer if necessary. This is important to prevent it from over spreading in the oven
6. Preheat the oven to 350F.
7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dough should be chilled but able to scoop. Scoop out dough with an ice cream scoop or at least 3 tablespoons worth of dough and place on a baking sheet.
8. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
9. Let cookies cool for 10-15 minutes in order for cookies to set and slightly cool off.
