Pork Recipe
- 2 lb pork shoulder/butt
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 3 tsp Salt
- 0.25 cup Sugar
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tsp 5 spice powder
- 0.25 tsp White pepper
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 3 tbsp Honey

Preparing the Pork
1. Cut the pork into 3 inches thick.
2. Poke each side of the pork with a fork, this will let the marinade sink in and be more flavorful.
Preparing the Marinade
1. Prepare the marinade by combining all the ingredients, except for the honey, which we will use later.
2. Place the pork into a large ziplock bag and add in the marinade.
3. Let it rest in the fridge for around 8-10 hours.
Preparing the Oven and Baking Pan
1. Preheat the oven to 425° F.
2. Set up the baking pan by lining the bottom with aluminum foil.
3. Add some water into the pan to prevent burning and place a baking rack on top.
4. Keep the marinade for later use.
Cooking the Pork
1. Lay the pork on top of the baking rack and place into the oven.
2. Cook the pork for 15 minutes and lather both sides with the marinade.
3. Cook for another 15 minutes and lather both sides with the marinade again.
4. Combine the honey with 2 tsp water and lather both sides of the pork.
5. Let it cook for another 20 minutes.
Final Steps
1. This should take a total of 50 minutes.
2. Take out the pork and let it rest a few minutes before cutting it.
3. Enjoy with a bowl of white rice!
