- 2 c Flour, sifted
- 1 stick Butter, melted
- 1 c Granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 2 Large eggs
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Orange zest, grated
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract, pure
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 0.5 c Almonds, raw, unpeeled

1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients well with a spatula.
2. Make 2 even logs and place it on a lined baking sheet.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
4. Remove the logs from the oven and let it cool for 15 minutes.
5. Then using a serrated knife, cut it diagonally into ½ inch slices.
6. Put the cookies back on the baking sheet and bake it for 10-15 minutes.
7. Remove the cantucci from the oven and let them completely cool on a cookie rack.
8. Now dip it in white or dark chocolate for some extra richness.
