Directions

Preparing the Lumpia Filling
1. Cut the onions and garlic.
2. Place it in a bowl along with the ground beef.
3. Also add the egg, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce, and black pepper.
4. Mix until thoroughly incorporated.
5. Place meat into a piping bag.
Wrapping the Lumpia
1. Separate and line the lumpia wrapper.
2. Only do a few at a time as it will dry out.
3. Keep the rest of the wrappers in the plastic, or covered with a towel.
4. Pipe meat onto one end of the wrapper.
5. On the opposite side use a little meat and spread it thin.
6. This will act as the glue to keep the lumpia sealed.
7. Now starting with the meat side, roll the lumpia towards the opposite end.
8. Repeat until you have finished all the meat.
Frying the Lumpia
1. Cut the lumpia into your desired size.
2. Deep fry in 350* F oil.
3. Make sure you are using an oil with a high smoking point like vegetable or canola.
4. Fry until golden brown.
5. You can keep the rest of the lumpia in the freezer if you don’t want to cook it immediately.
Preparing the Gravy
1. Cut the mushrooms and set aside.
2. In a bowl combine the water cornstarch to make a slurry.
3. In a pan add the oil and the butter on medium heat.
4. Once the butter melts add the mushrooms.
5. When the mushrooms have reduced in size, add the beef bouillon powder, soy sauce, evaporated milk, and corn starch slurry.
6. Once it starts to boil, constantly mix until the gravy thickens.
Serving Instructions
1. Serve both lumpia and gravy warm for maximum yum yum.
