- 0.25 tsp ground cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 0.25 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 0.5 c vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp date syrup
- 20 oz Portobello mushrooms
Toppings
- 0.5 Cucumber, sliced
- 0.5 c Tomatoes, diced
- 3 lettuce leaves

Directions

PRESS THE MUSHROOMS
1. Prepare mushrooms using the pressing technique as seen in the video.
MAKE THE MARINADE
1. Prepare marinade by combining broth, date syrup, and spices in a container.
2. Add cooked portobello mushrooms.
3. Let sit in the marinade for 1+ hours.
COOK THEM
1. Add marinated portobellos back to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
2. Slice into thin stripes.
FINISH AND SERVE
1. Using a soft flatbread add sliced shawarma portobello, cucumber, tomatoes, and mint yogurt sauce.
