- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 cup Butter, softened at room temp
- 4 Large eggs
- 1 cup Sour cream
- 0.5 cup Milk
- 1 1oz bottle red food coloring
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
Icing
- 0.5 cup Butter, 1 stick
- 8 oz Cream cheese
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 0.25 tsp Salt
- 4 cups Powdered sugar

Directions

Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 350 and prepare muffin tray.
Mixing Dry Ingredients
1. Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
Mixing Wet Ingredients
1. In your mixer or a separate bowl, beat together the sugar and butter.
2. Mix in the eggs, then sour cream, then milk, food coloring, and vanilla.
Baking
1. Spoon into muffin tray and bake for 20 minutes.
2. Let cool in pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Preparing Icing
1. For icing, beat together the room temperature cream cheese and butter.
2. Once smooth, add the vanilla, sugar, and salt.
3. Mix until smooth, then add to a piping bag.
Finishing Touches
1. Pipe your fully cooled cupcakes.
