- 1 c water
- 0.25 c Unsalted butter, diced
- 1 tbsp Granulated sugar
- 0.25 tsp Salt
- 1 c all-purpose flour
- 1 Large egg
- 0.25 c pepperoni, chopped
- 0.25 c Parmesan
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 0.75 c Parmesan, grated
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 0.5 tsp Dried basil
- 0.25 tsp dried parsley
- 0.25 tsp Dried oregano
- 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes, crushed
- 0.25 tsp granulated garlic
- 0.25 tsp Black pepper

For the churro dough
1. Combine water, butter, sugar, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a simmer.
2. Add flour all at once and stir with a wooden spoon until it comes together.
3. Cook for 1 minute while stirring nonstop.
4. Transfer to a bowl to cool for 5 minutes.
5. Add the egg and beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
6. Add the pepperoni and parmesan and give it a good stir.
7. Transfer to a sturdy piping bag, fitted with a star tip.
For frying the churros
1. Heat oil to 360°F.
2. Then pipe out about 2-inch churros into the hot oil, cutting with scissors.
3. Fry until golden brown and crispy.
4. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels and roll around in the topping while still warm.
For the topping
1. Mix together parmesan and seasonings until well combined.
For serving
1. Serve churros warm with pizza sauce for dipping.
2. Enjoy!
