- 8 oz flat iron steak
- 2 long hot peppers
- 4 clove Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Ginger, sliced
- 3 tbsp Cooking oil, divided into 2 + 1 tbsp
- 0.25 tsp White pepper
Beef Marinade
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 0.25 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 2 tsp water
- 1 tsp Oil

Directions

Preparation of Beef
1. Cut beef into thin slices and marinate with the listed seasonings.
2. Cover and let it sit in the fridge for 20 minutes.
3. Mince garlic and deseed long hot pepper, cut them into thin slices.
Cooking Process
1. Heat a wok until hot, add oil and bring it to smoke.
2. Carefully add the marinated beef and sear until about 60% cooked with some pink visible.
3. Transfer out and set aside.
4. Add the remaining oil to the wok over medium heat and add garlic, ginger, and peppers.
5. Fry for 30 seconds until they are fragrant.
6. Add the beef back and season with white pepper.
7. Mix well.
Serving Instructions
1. Serve with a bowl of white rice and enjoy!
