- 0.5 large onion
- 6 cloves garlic
- Scallions, for garnish
- thinly sliced brisket
- White rice
- Corn
- Pepper
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 0.25 c Oyster sauce
- 0.25 c Soy sauce
- 0.25 c Honey
- 1 tbsp Mirin

Preparation of Ingredients
1. Slice onions and mince garlic.
2. Reserve some diced onions for the sauce.
3. Mix together sauce ingredients: oyster sauce, soy sauce, honey, and mirin.
Sautéing and Sauce Reduction
1. Sauté the diced onions and garlic in a pot.
2. Add the sauce and reduce until it slightly thickens.
Caramelizing Onions and Assembling the Dish
1. Caramelize sliced onions in a cast iron pan and move it around the center of the pan.
2. Add white rice in the center and the meat over the sliced onions.
3. Add the corn, sauce (don't use all of it if you don't want it super salty), butter, scallions, and lots of pepper.
4. Mix it all together until the meat cooks.
5. Press down the rice so it gets super crispy.
6. Enjoy!
