- 4 plantains
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp sofrito
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 0.5 Onion, diced
- 0.5 Pepper, diced
- 2 tsp Healthy Rican Adobo
- 2 tsp Healthy Rican Sazón
- 4 oz Cream cheese, optional
- 1 c shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 c shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Preparing the Plantains
1. Peel the plantains, cut in half, then cut into slices.
2. Fry the plantains until golden brown.
Preparing the Meat
1. Cook the meat with sofrito, garlic and seasonings of choice.
2. Add a thin layer of each blend on top of the meat before breaking up.
3. Add 1/2 pack of cream cheese until melted.
Assembling the Pastelón
1. Once the meat is cooked, prepare the layers of the Pastelón.
2. Layer plantains, meat, cheese (as much as you feel), until you run out of ingredients.
3. Bake until cheese is melted.
4. Enjoy your meal!
