Directions

For the ground beef
1. In a medium skillet, add the ground beef to high heat.
2. As the meat starts to cook, break up the meat into chunks.
3. Add the onion, peppers and seasonings.
4. Once the meat has browned, add the can of tomatoes and chillies.
5. Mix well, cover, and reduce the heat to medium/low.
6. Allow to cook until the meat is completely cooked, and has absorbed all the flavors, approximately 10 minutes.
7. Drain excess fat if needed.
For the taco dip
1. As the meat cools off, start assembling the taco dip.
2. Start by adding the cream cheese to the bottom of a large flat platter.
3. Top with salsa, then add the meat after it has cooled off a bit.
4. Continue to add toppings like the lettuce, tomatoes and shredded cheese.
5. You can leave like this or add additional toppings to your liking (guacamole, jalapenos, etc.).
6. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
