- 4 lbs flat beef brisket
- 2 tbsp Oil
Spice Rub
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Onion powder
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- 1 tbsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black pepper
Honey-Glazed BBQ Sauce
- 1 c Ketchup
- 0.25 c Honey
- 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp Smoked paprika
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste

1. Rub brisket with oil, then coat with the spice rub. Let it sit for at least an hour.
2. Roast covered at 285°F for 4-5 hours. A general rule of thumb is to cook beef brisket in the oven at 275F for around 60 minutes / 1 hour for every pound of meat. For example, 4 lb = 4 hours, 5 lb = 5 hours, etc.
3. Mix ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and honey for the BBQ glaze. Put back in oven for a few more minutes (optional).
4. Slice brisket and rub each slice with BBQ glaze. Serve and enjoy.
