- 2 Egg whites
- 0.5 c Sugar
- 0.25 tsp cream of tartar
- 0.5 tsp Vanilla extract
Hot Cocoa
- 0.5 c Sugar
- 0.25 c Unsweetened cocoa powder
- pinch Salt
- pinch Cinnamon
- 0.333 c Hot water
- 4 c Milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 pt vanilla cream

For the marshmallow mixture
1. Combine egg whites, sugar, and cream of tartar in a heat-safe bowl.
2. Set over a double boiler and cook, stirring often, until the mixture has loosened and the sugar has dissolved, about 4 minutes.
3. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
4. Beat with a mixer on high until glossy and stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes.
5. Set aside.
For the hot cocoa
1. In a pot, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, salt and cinnamon.
2. Stir in the water and then set over medium heat.
3. Bring to a boil and cook and stir for 2 minutes.
4. Whisk in the milk.
5. Lower the flame and cook until heated through.
6. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
To serve
1. Scoop out ice cream into mugs or cups and pour in the hot cocoa.
2. Top with the marshmallow mixture and torch (optional).
3. Serve immediately and enjoy.
