- 0.5 c Heavy cream
- 1 tsp sea salt

Steps for making caramel sauce
1. Add sugar to a medium saucepan over medium heat and stir frequently until it breaks down into an amber colored liquid.
2. Add your butter and stir it in until melted (This will bubble up a bit, that is normal!).
3. Add your heavy cream and stir it in until smooth (this will also bubble, that is normal too).
4. Kill the heat and whisk in your sea salt and then transfer to a container and let sit on the counter for 1 hour before transferring to the fridge. When it cools down the mixture will thicken.
