- 4 Tbs Olive oil
- 4 German sausages
- 2 dill bulbs
- 1 cup Lentils
- 4 cup Water
- pinch salt and fresh black pepper

1. Pre-heat your oven to 200°C/400°F.
2. Heat a tbsp of olive oil in a heavy-bottom pot and sear the sausages on all sides; remove from the heat.
3. Reserve half a dill bulb and in the same pot, heat another tbsp of oil and sear the other bulb on all sides. Remove from the heat and place to the side.
4. Spread the cooked dill bulb in a baking tray or dish, then add the sausage on top. Bake for 10 minutes or until they are roasted.
5. Finely chop the remaining dill bulb.
6. Heat the rest of the olive oil in the same pot and cook the chopped dill, until it turns translucent, around 4 minutes. Add the lentils, water, salt and pepper. Cook for 20 minutes or until the lentils soften but keep their shape.
7. Serve a bed of lentils and over it, roasted dill bulb and sliced sausage.
8. Share and enjoy.
