- 400 ml Warm Milk
- 60 grams Honey, or agave
- 11 grams Active dry yeast
- 570 Bread flour
- 11 grams Salt
- 90 Butter, melted (salted or unsalted)

1. Whisk your warm milk, honey and yeast together in a bowl and set aside for 5 minutes to let the yeast activate
2. Mix your flour and salt together in a separate bowl while you are waiting on the yeast
3. After the 5 minutes is up, add your butter to the yeast mixture and whisk together.
4. Add your yeast mixture into your bowl of flour
5. Stir everything together until a dough forms. It's ok if your dough is sticky.
6. Cover your dough in the bowl with a towel and set it aside until it has doubled in size. This should take about and hour.
7. Flour your surface and roll your dough out until it gets about 1/2 inch thick.
8. Use a round cookie cutter or the top of a mason jar to cut out circles for your muffins
9. Cover your cut out circles with a towel and let them rise again for about 45 minutes
10. In an ungreased cast iron skillet (or any non stick skillet) cook each muffin for 3-4 minutes on each side on medium heat..
11. To keep the nooks and cranies of a true english muffin, cut them in half with a fork instead of a knife.
12. Serve warm or toasted.
