Ingredients

Shrimp and Grits
- 1 lb Jumbo shrimp
- 1 habanero pepper
- 1 Green bell pepper, diced
- 1 Shallot, diced
- 6 clove Garlic, minced
- 1.25 c Grits
- 4 c Chicken Broth
- 0.5 c Heavy cream
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 1 c pepperjack cheese
- 1 tbsp Kosher salt
- 1 tbsp White pepper
- 2 tbsp Garlic powder
- 2 tbsp Onion powder
- 2 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
- Olive oil, for pan frying

Directions

For your grits
1. In a large pot, add water and cook on medium heat.
2. Follow the instructions on the back of the box for the grits.
3. Once it heats, add the grits and cook on medium low to simmer.
4. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for about 10-15 minutes continuously stirring until your grits form to your liking.
5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
6. Remove from the heat and add the cheese and stir.
Season your shrimp
1. Season your shrimp with kosher salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder, and Old Bay seasoning.
2. In a large pan, add olive oil and cook your shrimp for about two minutes removing from the pan once it begins to develop a sear.
Add the peppers, minced garlic, and shallots to the pan
1. Cook until the vegetables soften.
2. Add the shrimp and mix.
Assemble your plate
1. Assemble your plate with your grits first, then your shrimp and sauce.
2. Serve and enjoy!
