Ingredients

Recipe
- 0.5 c Pistachios, roughly chopped
- 0.5 c Pistachios, coarsely ground
- 16 Medjool dates, soft, pitted, chopped
- 2 tbsp Tahini
- 0.5 tsp Cardamom
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 2 tbsp carob powder
- pinch Salt

Directions

Prepare the Pistachios
1. Heat skillet on medium.
2. Dry roast all pistachios until fragrant.
3. Remove from the pan, and divide in half.
4. Process half of the pistachios to a coarse crumb and set aside.
Prepare the Squares
1. On medium-low heat, add chopped dates and tahini.
2. Cook, mix, and press with a spoon until dates break down and form a thick caramel texture (about 5-7 minutes).
3. Add spices, pistachio pieces, and carob powder.
4. Mix to combine. The mixture will be very thick.
Finish and Enjoy!
1. Add mixture to a parchment-lined 8x8-inch pan.
2. Press firmly into the pan.
3. Sprinkle heavily with ground pistachios and press to create a layer.
4. Refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until firm.
5. Remove the square by lifting the parchment paper from the pan.
6. Cut and enjoy!
