Tofu and Vegetables
- 1 lb tofu, soft-medium
- 0.25 c Cornstarch
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
- 0.25 tsp White pepper
- 4 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 Scallion, chopped
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 0.5 tbsp Sesame oil
- 0.5 tsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp water

Preparing the Tofu
1. Slice the block of tofu in half lengthwise, then slice into 1/2 inch thick rectangles.
2. Tap the tofu dry with a cloth or paper towel.
Preparing the Sauce
1. Combine the sauce and set aside.
Cooking the Tofu
1. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat, and add the oil.
2. In a dish, mix the cornstarch with salt, garlic powder and white pepper.
3. Coat the tofu slices with this dry mixture and pan-fry for around 5 minutes on each side until crispy and golden.
4. Serve the crispy tofu on a serving plate.
Finalizing the Dish
1. Pour the sauce mixture into the same pan you cooked the tofu in, cook for a couple minutes.
2. Drizzle over the tofu or use it on the side as a dipping sauce.
3. Garnish with chopped scallion.
