- 1 puff pastry sheet
- 1 chocolate bar
- 2 tbsp egg wash

1. Thaw the puff pastry sheet and preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Lay the pastry sheet flat over a cutting board and place the chocolate bar in the center.
3. Make diagonal cuts along the sides of the chocolate bar.
4. Remove the corner pieces.
5. Fold the top pastry flap over the chocolate bar and begin to braid the pastry by placing the pieces on top alternating from left to right.
6. Before weaving the bottom pieces, make sure to fold the bottom flap first.
7. Cover in egg wash* using a brush.
8. Place on a tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 22 minutes or until golden brown.
9. Enjoy!
Egg Wash Preparation
1. To make egg wash, beat an egg and add 1 tbsp of water.
2. For a vegan option, combine equal amounts of plant-based milk with maple syrup.
