- 2 tbsp Neutral oil, divided
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 0.25 c water

- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 1 tsp water

Preparing the Chinese Broccoli
1. Thoroughly wash the Chinese broccoli under cold water.
2. For the thicker stems, slice down the center with a knife a few inches. This will help them cook evenly later.
3. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add oil and salt.
4. Add the broccoli and blanch for 2 minutes until they are bright green and tender. Transfer onto a plate and set aside.
Preparing the Sauce
1. In a skillet over medium heat, add oil and garlic. Cook until the garlic is fragrant.
2. Add oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, and water. Mix well.
3. Turn off the heat. Add cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens.
Final Steps
1. Drizzle the sauce over the cooked Chinese broccoli, and enjoy!
