- 1 lb salmon filet, Fresh
- 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
- 4 cloves Garlic, chopped
- 2 tsp Kosher salt
- 2 tsp Cracked Black Pepper
- Cedar Plank
- Oven or Grill

Preparation of Cedar Plank
1. Start by soaking your cedar plank in water for 15 minutes each side.
Preheating the Oven
1. Heat your oven to 400° F.
Preparing the Salmon
1. Once your planks have been soaked, place your salmon onto the plank skin side down.
2. Pat your salmon dry with a paper towel.
3. To the salmon add olive oil, brown sugar, salt, pepper and top with garlic.
4. Use your hand to pat the ingredients into the meat of the salmon.
Baking the Salmon
1. Place your cedar plank directly on the oven rack and bake your salmon for 20 to 25 minutes.
Garnishing and Serving
1. Once your salmon is finished, remove from the oven, garnish with fresh chopped dill and a squeeze of lemon.
2. Serve hot and enjoy!
