- 1 box ravioli
- 0.5 c Unsalted butter
- 1 handful fresh sage leaves
- 1 to taste Salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste
- Parmesan cheese, grated, for serving (optional)

1. Fill a large pot with salted water.
2. Bring it to a rolling boil.
3. Cook pasta following the instructions on the package, drain, and save a cup of pasta water for later.
4. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
5. Swirl the pan occasionally and add sage leaves, salt, and pepper.
6. The butter will foam, and then the foam will subside.
7. Watch the color closely.
8. When it turns a golden brown and smells nutty, immediately remove it from heat.
9. Add the cooked ravioli into the skillet with the brown butter sage sauce.
10. Gently toss the ravioli in the sauce until they are well coated.
11. If necessary, add a little pasta water, if not, discard.
12. Serve immediately, and pour sauce on top with the sage leaves.
13. Add grated parmesan and enjoy.
