- 8 Chicken thighs, boneless
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp Pepper
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 5 clove Garlic, minced
- 0.25 c Soy sauce
- 0.5 c hoisin sauce
- 0.5 c Brown sugar
- 0.5 tsp Sesame oil
- 50 ml honey bourbon whiskey

Preparation of Skewers and Chicken
1. Start by adding your bamboo skewers into a shallow dish with water and soak for 20 minutes. Set aside.
2. Cube up chicken breasts and add to a bowl.
3. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Set aside.
Preparation of Sauce
1. For the sauce, add butter into a small pot or saucepan on medium heat.
2. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
3. Add in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil and shot of bourbon whiskey.
4. Mix then bring to a simmer.
5. Let that simmer for about 5 minutes.
6. Remove from heat and add to a bowl and set aside.
Grilling the Chicken
1. Once skewers are done soaking, remove from water and pat dry with paper towel.
2. Add your cubed chicken thighs onto your skewers.
3. Brush your chicken with bourbon sauce.
4. Place on hot grill and cook for about 5 minutes on each side.
5. About 13-15 minutes total until internal temperature gets to 165F.
Serving the Dish
1. After done grilling, add more bourbon sauce on top and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
2. Serve with white rice and Asian style broccoli.
