Ingredients

Fried Pickles
- as needed fry oil
- 1 c Buttermilk
- 1 Large egg
- 0.5 tsp Hot sauce, of choice
- 2.5 c All purpose flour
- 0.25 tsp Cornstarch
- 1.25 tsp cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp Kosher salt, + more to finish
- 0.75 tsp Black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 24-oz jar dill pickles
Horseradish Ranch Dipping Sauce
- 0.5 c Sour cream
- 0.5 c Mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp creamed horseradish
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice, fresh
- 1 tbsp Chives, fresh, chopped
- 1 tbsp Parsley, fresh, chopped
- 1 tbsp Dill, fresh, chopped
- 0.5 tsp cajun seasoning
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste

Directions

For the Fried Pickles
1. Heat 1 inch of oil in a large high-walled skillet to 375 °F.
2. In a shallow dish, combine the buttermilk, egg, and hot sauce. Whisk to combine and set aside.
3. In a separate shallow dish, combine the flour, cornstarch, and spices. Whisk to combine and set aside.
4. Pat the dill pickle chips dry, then work in batches, dredge the pickle chips in the flour mixture, then the buttermilk mixture, and then back in the flour mixture.
5. Fry the dredged pickle chips for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Using a metal spider, carefully remove the fried pickles and transfer them to a paper towel-lined sheet tray. Season immediately with more salt.
6. Serve warm with Horseradish Ranch Dipping Sauce.
For the Horseradish Ranch Dipping Sauce
1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk to combine.
