- 4 clove Garlic, sliced
- 0.5 tsp Red chili flakes
- 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
- salt and pepper, to taste
- balsamic glaze

Directions

Cleaning and Preparing the Brussel Sprouts
1. Clean and trim the brussel sprouts by removing loose leaves and cutting off the tough ends and then halve them lengthwise.
Cooking the Bacon
1. Add the bacon to a cold cast iron skillet on medium heat and cook until the fat is rendered out and the bacon is crispy.
2. Remove the bacon but leave the rendered fat.
Sautéing the Garlic
1. Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. You want to sweat the garlic a little but do not want it to turn brown.
Adding the Brussel Sprouts
1. Add the brussel sprouts, chili flakes and vinegar, and sauté for 1-2 minutes. At this point, do not stir unless you need to as you want to crisp up the bottoms. Cover with a lid for a few minutes or until they are tender.
Final Steps
1. Add back the bacon and drizzle with balsamic glaze and enjoy!
