Pork Belly Recipe
- 1 lb pork belly
- Ginger, thumb size piece, diced
- 2 Star anise
- 3 chili’s
- 3 Tbsp Dark soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp Fish sauce
- 2 Tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 Red bell pepper
- 0.5 Tsp MSG

Preparation of Pork Belly
1. Add your cubed pork belly to a wok over medium high heat and cook until it’s nice and crispy all over, then remove from heat.
Making the Sauce
1. Add your brown sugar, soy sauce & fish sauce to the wok and stir well.
2. Add your chilies, ginger & star anise and mix well and simmer for 2-3 minutes
Adding Vegetables and Pork Belly
1. Now add your red bell pepper and crispy pork belly back to the wok, stir well.
Adding Water and MSG
1. Fill the wok with just enough water to fully coat everything and add your MSG and mix.
Reducing the Sauce
1. Let this reduce for about 35-45 minutes or until most the water is evaporated and you have a thick sauce.
Serving Suggestions
1. Serve with rice or eat by itself! Top with some green onion or chives for a bit of color and extra flavor!
