- 1.5 lb sirloin or roast meat
- 1 lb Ground beef
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 cans fire roasted tomatoes
- 1 can Tomato sauce
- 2 cans chili beans with sauce
- 0.25 c Ketchup
- 1.5 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tbsp Onion powder
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Ground cumin
- 1 Red pepper, chopped
- 1 green pepper
- 1 White onion
- 1 jalapeno
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 0.25 c water

Seasoning and Searing the Steak
1. Season your steak with salt and pepper.
2. Sear your steak over medium heat until browned.
3. Remove from the pot and then add in ground beef.
4. Add one tablespoon of water to your ground beef while it's cooking so that it crumbles better.
Preparing the Vegetables and Seasonings
1. Remove the meat and then add in all of your chopped vegetables and seasonings.
2. Let your vegetables sweat out a little bit with the spices.
Adding Liquids and Cooking the Chili
1. Then add in all of your liquids like tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili beans, and ketchup.
2. Add your meat back to the pot along with water.
3. Let your chili cook for about one to two hours.
Serving the Chili
1. Serve with honey cornbread or your favorite crackers!
2. Enjoy!
