- pinch Saffron
- 2 c Rice
- 4 c water
- 1.5 tbsp Salt
- 0.25 c Yogurt
- 4 tbsp Olive oil

1. Wash and soak the rice for 2 hours.
2. Crush some saffron with a tablespoon of water. Set it aside.
3. Boil the rice in generously salted water.
4. Rinse the rice while discarding the water once the rice is almost cooked.
5. Heat up some oil in a pot and add yogurt, saffron with a cup of almost cooked rice.
6. Mix it well before carefully placing it in the hot oil. Make an even layer.
7. Once it comes to a boil, add the rest of the rice and saffron mixture.
8. Cover it and let it cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
9. Turn off the heat and let it sit on the stove for another 30 to 60 minutes.
10. Flip it onto a serving dish and enjoy it with your favorite Persian dish!
