- 1 Butter, stick
- 12 scallops
- Salt

Prepare the miso butter
1. In a food processor, add your butter, garlic, and miso.
2. Blend until combined.
Prepare and cook the scallops
1. Pat your scallops dry with a paper towel.
2. In a pan over medium-high, add neutral oil.
3. When the oil is shimmering, add your scallops.
4. Avoid crowding the pan, as this will make the scallops steam.
5. Cook on one side for 2 minutes until the scallop develops a golden crust.
6. Season the other side with salt and pepper.
7. Flip the scallops, turn the heat down to low and add 1-2 tablespoons of miso butter.
8. Baste the scallops in the butter for 2 minutes until they are cooked through and turn an opaque color.
Store the miso butter
1. Store the rest of the miso butter in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
