Ingredients

Sauce
- 8 oz Tomato paste
- 1 c Ketchup
- 1.5 c Granulated sugar
- 2.5 c Pineapple Juice
- 0.25 c Rice wine vinegar
- 0.25 c Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Ginger, grated
- 4 clove Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp Chili powder

Directions

Starting the Sauce
1. Turn your stove on to medium low.
2. In a large pot, add your tomato paste and ketchup.
3. Mix until well combined.
4. Add soy sauce and lemon juice to begin the process of liquifying your sauce.
5. Add the rice wine vinegar, garlic, and ginger mixing until well combined.
Adding the Sweetness
1. Once the sauce starts to loosen, add your granulated sugar 1/2 a cup at a time, adjusting for your desired level of sweetness.
2. Once to your desired liking, add your pineapple juice.
3. You may not need to add all of the pineapple juice. I would recommend as well adding in a 1/2 cup at a time.
Adding the Spices
1. Add the chili powder and the cayenne pepper.
2. Let it simmer on low for ten minutes stirring occasionally.
Final Steps
1. Remove from the heat and let cool.
2. Add your honey in and mix until well combined.
3. Strain the sauce in a bowl to remove the bits of garlic and ginger.
4. Add to a container, serve, and enjoy.
