Recipe Ingredients
- 1 lb Chicken breast, cut into bite sizes
- 0.25 c gochujang
- 0.25 c gochugaru
- 0.25 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 0.25 c rice syrup
- 1 tsp Garlic, finely minced
- 1 tsp Ginger, finely minced
- 8 oz Mozzarella cheese, cut into cubes
- 0.333 c rice cakes
- 1 Scallion

Preparing the Sauce and Chicken
1. In a mixing bowl, add gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, oil, black pepper, corn syrup, garlic, and ginger. Mix well.
2. Add the chicken and mix with the sauce.
3. Heat an ovenproof skillet over high heat, add the marinated chicken and cook for 3 minutes.
4. Add some water to the mixing bowl and pour into the chicken.
5. Turn the heat down low, cover and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Adding Rice Cakes and Cheese
1. Add the rice cakes on top, cover and continue simmering for another 5 minutes.
2. In the meantime, turn the oven broiler to high.
3. Put the cheese cubes on top of the rice cake and place the cast iron in the oven.
4. Cook for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving the Dish
1. Garnish with scallions and serve with rice.
